Merlot2muscadine is the creation of Arthur & Mary Barham fueled by our passion for NC vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms! With visits to nearly 100 Tarheel destinations already under our belts we are very knowledgeable of the NC grape industry, its products & services! Arthur Barham is the host/producer of Merlot2muscadine! He is a native North Carolinian and was reared in Reidsville, NC located in Rockingham county on the NC/Va border. Currently he is a middle school teacher in Wake county where he and his wife Mary have resided for over 20 years. He is the former headwaiter of Bon Vivant Restaurant & Tavern on the Glenn both formerly located in Greensboro NC. He was also the maître d at Second Empire Restaurant & Tavern located in downtown Raleigh for nearly a decade. These employment opportunities coupled with visits to nearly 100 NC vineyards & wineries makes him a unique authority on NC wine!
Mary Barham is responsible for videography & social media,
She has traded videotaping her daughter Stefani
figure skating for traveling and videotaping episodes of scenic wineries.
