This intriguing varietal which dates back to the Bordeaux region of France is known to many as a blending grape, or the hidden gem. Globally it is enjoying a resurgence as a single varietal. No longer relegated to a role as a background singer, this noble varietal now has the microphone in a solo role, to the delight of many globally.
